We have an exciting opportunity to work as Trust Grade Junior Doctor (FY2) , commencing from 1/5/2023 until 1/8/2023
We are seeking a motivated doctor who wishes to obtain experience in inpatient GA Psychiatry. This role is ideal for a doctor who may have some previous experience in psychiatry/ those who are hoping to get further experience in Psychiatry or those aspiring to improve their cv with hands-on In-patient Psychiatry experience and QI/ Research projects.
This is a full time post with out of hours commitment on a 1-21 rota.
You will have access to weekly supervision, teaching and on site learning, including mandatory training.
Main duties of the job
You will be working in a well-established and supportive, multi-disciplinary, in-patient team, under the supervision of a very experienced Clinical Supervisor.
You will also have opportunities to pursue Quality Improvement/Research projects within a well-resourced service.

The post holder will also contribute to various ward responsibilities for doctors as laid out in the doctors handbook of the Trust and under supervision from their Clinical Supervisor.
The post holder will also be expected to complete comprehensive patient history summaries. These will be for routine clinical care or even to support the Consultant Psychiatrists role as a Responsible Clinician in furnishing medico-legal reports, including for the Mental Health Act Review Tribunal.
These responsibilities will be timetabled to ensure that the post holder is able to fulfil these to excellent standards.
