We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Band 7 Team Manager within the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme to support the leadership of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme team which is provided in partnership between Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust (CPFT) and Cambridgeshire Community Services (CCS).

You will be based in the Peterborough locality, working with a team of other Team Managers to support the delivery of the HCP in order to provide excellent care to children, young people and their families.

Main duties of the job

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. The post holder will work in partnership with the Locality Lead plus Clinical and Professional leads to establish effective Integrated Team working across Peterborough & Cambridgeshire.

In addition the role includes working and liaising with GP's, other professionals alongside statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver individualised and expert services to Children, Young People and Families.

The post holder will support the Locality Lead in delivering safe and effective high quality services, within the available resources, to achieve team targets and provide leadership and line management to delegated staff.

  • To be an active team member of the Joint venture across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough representing Peterborough locality To ensure each member of the team is competent and able to meet the full needs of clients and operate to a high standard.
  • To work in partnership with the Locality Lead plus Clinical and Professional leads to establish effective Integrated Team working across Peterborough & Cambridgeshire. To work across organisational and professional boundaries liaising with GPs, other professionals alongside statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver individualised and expert services to Children, Young People and Families.
  • To assist the Locality Lead in delivering safe and effective high quality services, within the available resources, to achieve team targets.
  • To provide leadership and line management to delegated staff.
  • To provide expert operational leadership to members of the 0-19 team To implement relevant national and local guidance e.g. NSFs, NICE guidance, policies and procedures e.g. record keeping, infection control, vulnerable children and families.
  • To support clinical staff to identify and assess deviations from normal health, growth or development in children and refer promptly to or mobilise the resources of other agencies and services within and outside the organisation as appropriate.
  • To have a clear understanding of and work within the LSCB Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
  • To participate and lead the development of early intervention initiatives designed to detect and prevent child maltreatment and neglect in conjunction with the Safeguarding team. Support staff to prepare for, attend and participate as appropriate in individual case conferences or planning meetings related to children and families.
  • To develop and maintain positive, effective and timely liaison and communications with all appropriate staff, professionals, parents, carers and agencies to monitor and ensure that actions in relation to individual care plans are implemented.
  • To exhibit excellence in communication, offering information and support that is appropriate and culturally sensitive.


Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential
  • SCPHN or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Post graduate level business/management qualification at diploma level or able to demonstrate equivalent experience

  • Evidence of post-qualification development

Experience Essential
  • Significant experience of managing a clinical team to include team performance, quality, recruitment and staffing issues
  • Change management and demonstrating successful change outcomes
  • Influencing, persuading and negotiating with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of confidentiality issues within healthcare

  • Supporting and advising complex areas of service provision, for example safeguarding
