We are looking to recruit a new service manager into the Criminal Justice Pathway for 12 month secondment/fixed term opportunity. The post holder will have overall responsibility for the management and development of the countywide Custody Healthcare Service, Police Liaison/Op Alloy Service, SARC, Liaison & Diversion Service, MHTR Service, Reconnect Service and Offender Personality Disorder Pathway.
The Criminal Justice Service Manager will ensure effective governance and delivery of the service models and national service specification in accordance with commissioned requirements. They will ensure compliance with commissioning standards, performance targets, and the development of clinical pathways as required by NHS England. The post holder will ensure that the Criminal Justice Mental Health pathway achieves a compliant position with CQC and patient safety requirements, and that clinical processes take place in line with relevant best practice standards. They will be responsible for ensuring robust and consistent risk management processes are in place across the service.
Main duties of the job
To take overall management responsibility for all aspects of service delivery and operational matters for the service, ensuring that all key performance indicators are met.
To put in place and monitor arrangements for partnership working among the sectors.
To lead the development of integrated pathways for patients accessing the service and other community interventions.
To take a lead role in the development and setting up of teams.
To work towards an agreed service model, developing clinical structures, recruiting staff and operationalising the service.

The post holder will be expected to work flexibly and will be part of the on call and out of hours arrangements for the Trust.
Establishing and maintaining an effective Operational Management Team with those direct reports that ensures that the operational teams and the wider service are supported at all times.
Ensuring effective training, ongoing professional development and professional supervision is maintained for all staff within the service
Ensuring equality of access to services for all communities.

- Professional Health or Social Care Qualification
- Masters Degree or equivalent experience
- Be able to demonstrate a range of management experiences across a range of Teams
- Knowledge of current applicable local and national policies and frameworks (e.g. NHS Long Term Plan, Integrated Care Systems)
- Evidence a successful track record of performance and budgetary management at team / service level
- Experience of case management
- Implementation and management of successful change/quality/practice development projects
- Is emotionally resilient and/or has effective coping strategies where necessary. can remain calm when under pressure and has the ability to regulate behaviour even when provoked
- Ability to lead future service development in co-production with experts by experience
- Support, contribute to and/or lead the implementation of relevant strategies, policies and performance measures.
