As a Staff Nurse you will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care; and maintaining associated records. You will work closely with a highly specialised Multi-professional team in looking after Male Service Users in a Medium Secure Facility within a Forensic setting. You will participate in a dynamic care assessment pathway for individual service users by delivering a person-centred approach care to promote their well-being. This is achieved by having assessment wards, a medium dependency, a high decency and three rehabilitation wards, all within this secure environment. You will have the opportunity to build your experience by working across the varieties of wards to developed all the essential skills required to further your career. You will also assist in leading and monitoring the performance and work of the nursing staff; supervising the work of other nursing staff, HCAs and student nurses.

We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive individuals who want to gain specialist skills and establish their careers as a Staff Nurse. - Registered on the NMC register, parts RN3, RNMH and RN4.
- Diploma in Mental Health nursing.
- Willing to participate in Preceptorship programme.
- Willing to undertake accredited courses in mental health practice leading to degree level.
- Degree in Health Care related subject
- Experience of working as a student in a health care setting
- To understand the requirements of the NMC Code of Practice
- Previous experience of working in a care environment
- Demonstration of a developing knowledge and skill base of psychiatric nursing care
