An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Clinical Lead, to join the team at Saddlebridge Recovery Centre. You will be working alongside an established and extensive multi-disciplinary team. You should possess commitment to team working and innovative delivery of excellent standards of care in a secure setting. The successful candidate will join a team who strive to make a difference in the assessment and treatment of patients. The ward offers a 24-hour service; therefore, the successful candidates must be able to work a full range of 12-hour shifts including night shifts and weekends. In return, not only does CWP offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes an excellent pension scheme, 35 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata) inclusive of bank holidays which rises to 37 days after 5 years and 41 days after 10 years. CWP also offer a competitive salary based upon Agenda for Change which is part of the incremental pay progression.

Service Overview: Saddlebridge Recovery Centre is a 15 bed Low Secure Unit for males who have Mental Health difficulties and require enhanced levels of security.

All patients at Saddlebridge Recovery Centre are detained under the Mental Health Act. The unit provides facilities for the assessment and treatment of patients and rehabilitation leading to their recovery.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • NMC Registered Nurse RMN or RNLD
  • Evidence of Continued Professional development.
Knowledge and Expertise Essential
  • High level of clinical expertise.
  • Understanding and appreciation of national policy and health/social care issues.
  • Clear understanding of social inclusion/equality/diversity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries.
  • Knowledge of cultural diversity within the healthcare setting.
  • Awareness of current mental health issues, debates and practice.
  • Knowledge and understanding of physical health needs.
  • A willingness to undertake further training.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of the MHA and MCA.
Experience Essential
  • Significant experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Supervision experience.
  • Working with service users with severe mental health problems utilising user/carer involvement.
Desirable
  • Secure services experience
