Would you like to be part of a forward thinking inpatient service? Orchard Ward is looking for an enthusiastic occupational therapist to join them for a 12 months secondment.
KMPT offers an extensive preceptorship program for newly qualified staff. The ward offers the opportunity to develop in your role with support from the OT and ward teams.
Main duties of the job
As Occupational Therapists we are positioned to shape the culture of inpatient settings to promote a therapeutic day that co-exists to enhance therapeutic interventions and recovery focused ethos on the units.
Applicants are required to be a car drivers and have access to a car for home visits and assessments, unless supported by the Equality Act whereby the Trust will be expected to make reasonable adjustments for the successful candidate
Please be aware, although we are a Mental Health Ward, all staff are expected to wear PPE in line with Government Guidelines.

To adhere to KMPTs policies, procedures and guidelines.
To ensure that the Trusts values are upheld in Occupational Therapy practice.
To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work.
To take into account the individuality of the views, wishes, values and beliefs of service users, and relatives, respecting equality and diversity and contribute to the provision of a service sensitive to these needs.
