Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Band 6 Clinical Lead Nurse to join the team on Alderley Unit . You should possess commitment to team working and innovative delivery of excellent standards of care in a secure setting. You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team with a range of expertise, and have an ethos of collaborative working between individual service users, carers, and other stakeholders.
Service Overview: The Alderley Unit, is a 10 bedded low secure Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual disability ward. The unit has a team who provide professional support to patients . The Ward Manager over-sees the unit, supported by clinical leads.
An onsite therapy team consisting of Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Assistant Practitioners and Speech and Language Therapy, work alongside unit staff to ensure a person-centred approach to treatment and rehabilitation.
A Consultant Psychiatrist is based on site who is responsible for co-ordinating the medical treatment and care of all patients, and is supported by a Specialist Registrar and medical staff.
Location: Alderley unit is located within Cheshire, in a rural setting, 9 miles from Macclesfield and 2.5 miles from Alderley Edge. The nearest main line railway station is in Alderley Edge. Travelling by car, the A535 road runs past the main entrance to the unit.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a supportive and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team, working on a rotational shift basis, working 12 hour shifts including day and night shifts and weekends. The post offers the successful applicant the exciting opportunity to join this team in providing the highest quality of care for our service users. We have an excellent training programme.
The individual must be able to demonstrate an understanding and application of the 6 C's in practice, these being Care; Compassion; Competence; Communication; Courage and Commitment.

- NMC Registered Nurse RMN or RNLD
- Evidence of Continued Professional development.
- High level of clinical expertise.
- Understanding and appreciation of national policy and health/social care issues.
- Clear understanding of social inclusion/equality/diversity

- Knowledge of cultural diversity within the healthcare setting
