We are looking for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our innovative, friendly and well supported team working with children and young people in community settings across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The team is very supportive and inclusive. We have regular meetings and can support your CPD through a variety of activities and team days aimed at sharing best practice and learning. Its a great environment to develop your career.

Main duties of the job

Main responsibilities include:
  • Providing effective caseload management for identified mainstream clinics, specialist settings and SEND caseloads
  • Providing assessment, diagnosis and intervention approaches for children aged 0-19 years with speech, language and communication needs
  • Working in collaboration with health and education colleagues to support children's needs
  • You will need experience in using evidence based practice and be able to prioritise caseloads using your clinical experience and skills
  • While not essential for this role we are always happy to receive applications from therapists who have a qualification in post-grad Paediatric Dysphagia
  • You will need to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

  • Previous experience of mentoring or supporting colleagues
