Are you a highly motivated Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Social Worker or Occupational Therapist (OT) with a 'can do' attitude and an interest in being part of a growing specialist service? Then we want to hear from you!

We are seeking a Psychiatric Liaison Practitioner to join our expanding service within the Yeovil Liaison Psychiatry Service. You'll undertake high quality assessments for individuals within the Acute General Hospital experiencing mental health issues, physical illness and distress.

The role includes working flexibly across a 24-hour shift rota, 7 days a week and will include 12 hour shifts, allowing you to work your hours in less days and therefore improve your work life balance, giving you more time off to enjoy the dynamic lifestyle Somerset has to offer.

Main duties of the job

You should have experience of working with and willingness to teach others within the team and the General Hospital as well as a commitment to service development and the best possible outcomes for people within the acute hospital setting.

In return, we can offer you the opportunity to be part of a dynamic expanding service, bespoke Liaison Psychiatry Training and a high level of Clinical Supervision and support, all within the framework of the Psychiatric Liaison Accreditation Network.

You'll be joining us at a very exciting time, as we have recently achieved PLAN accreditation, which opens up additional opportunities for training and networking with other like-minded liaison clinicians.

About us

As an organisation, the NHS offers a wide range of benefits including flexible working, fantastic pension contributions, market leading annual leave allowance, career progression and regular conversations, not to mention our Blue Light Card and NHS exclusive discounts.

The benefits of working in Somerset include the idyllic countryside, with our areas of outstanding beauty and stunning coastlines. You will get to enjoy these perks whilst still only being a stone's throw away from bustling city centres like Bristol, Bath and Exeter and only two hours away from London.

There are excellent educational facilities in the area and, when compared to other regions, house prices are reasonable. You will to experience the best of both in Somerset, the countryside and the cosmopolitan - there is truly something for everyone!
