An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a dedicated and motivated Physiotherapist to become part of a dynamic and established Integrated Community Team (ICT) within the Forest of Dean. This post will sit as part of our urgent ICT response in the Referral Centre as well as supporting Home First & Reablement.
Gloucestershire Health & Care Services deliver community health & social care services for adults & older people, enablingpeople to live as independently and for as long as possible within their own home.
We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist with a passion for rehabilitation to join the team. The team work with people to develop personalised care plans to maintain health and wellbeing, to prevent or delay crises and support hospital discharges.
This exciting role demands excellent team working, leadership and communication skills and an innovative and committed approach to providing high quality, proactive patient care, within an integrated health and social service environment.
As a Band 6 Physiotherapist you will hold a supervisory role for other members of the Physiotherapy team and would be expected to actively engage in this process, along with embedding change within the evolving reablement and home first service.

Main duties of the job
To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner; to work alone with access to guidance from highly specialised Physiotherapists within the trust.
To be professionally and legally accountable for a designated patient caseload and to decide priorities for own work area, balancing other patient related and professional demands.
To triage incoming referrals, deciding on urgency, and either delegate appropriately or provide the relevant urgent response within a timely manner.
To supervise, train, advise, support and manage physiotherapists, physiotherapy technicians/assistants, reablement workers, students and community care workers' performance who report to the post-holder.
To be responsible for the operational management of the team that reports to the post-holder; coordinating, allocating and organising the work of junior and assistant staff to meet service priorities.

Person Specification Knowledge Essential
- Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registration
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Able to demonstrate specialist knowledge in rehabilitation of patients with complex needs/ multi-pathologies
- Membership to a relevant professional body e.g. CSP
- Broad range of clinical experience across a variety of clinical areas
- Experience of managing junior members of staff and rehabilitation assistants
- Experience of working for a Statutory organisation
- Solid experience as a physiotherapist, or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience in the field of rehabilitation
- Experience of performance management
- Evidence of working across multi-disciplinary and multi-agency boundaries
- Evidence of working unsupervised
