The purpose of the job is to reduce drug and alcohol related harms to individuals, families and communities, and empower service users to achieve a better quality of life and well being and fulfill their personal ambitions for recovery.
- The post holder will deliver a recovery focused drug and alcohol service.
- The post holder will provide effective liaison, case management and coordination, and deliver a menu of evidence based interventions in line with best practice guidance to achieve the best possible recovery outcomes for service users.
- The post holder will work within the clinical governance framework of the service to consistently deliver a high quality service.
- The post holder will contribute to the overall performance of the service to achieve key recovery outcomes.
- The post holder will lead on events planning and organize representation from Path 2 Recovery in community based events. Be flexible, dynamic and approachable to achieve STE for clients outreached during public engagement events.
- The post holder will lead the STE and offer managerial and clinical supervision
- Lead and coordinate non dependent alcohol and opiate groups as part of the service delivery.

- work to values that include self-determination, empowerment and choice for service users
- work in partnership with service users and empower them to draw on their individual strengths and assets, and set goals they would like to achieve in all aspects of their lives
- deliver personalised and evidence based interventions in one-to-one and group settings, and will optimise their interventions to achieve the best possible outcomes
- be a first level manager and will provide effective supervision and leadership to staff

Person Specification Education Essential
- Training in Motivational Interviewing or other psychosocial interventions.
- Information and Communication Technology literacy
- English and Maths at minimum GCSE or higher
- Professional Qualification, e.g. Nursing, Social Work, Counselling.
- Mentorship for Professional Practice.
- Substance Misuse Qualification to minimum NVQ level 4
- Coaching training.
- Experience of working in Health or Social Care as a key worker.
- Experience of providing evidence based interventions to drug and alcohol users.
- Experience of using Information and Communication Technology to support clinical practice.
- Experience of managing, supervising and providing leadership to staff.
- Ability to apply recovery values and principles in day to day work.
- Ability to connect, motivate and empower service users to achieve aspirational and recovery focused outcomes.
- Ability to provide performance management.
- Skills in planning, implementing and evaluating care.
- Ability to deliver evidence based interventions in substance misuse.
- Have a positive attitude to learning and personal development
- Understanding of the impact of problem drug and alcohol use.
