Service - Tower Hamlets Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (TH CAMHS)

East London NHS Foundation Trust - This is an exciting time for ELFT. Our vision is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.

We want to improve the health of the populations we serve, improve their experience of care, improve staff experience and improve value. Working with our communities and partners is to key to achieving this

TH CAMHS is based at Greatorex Street, with nearby underground and overground stations.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for family therapists/child psychotherapists who are passionate about working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties. We would welcome applications from clinicians with clear transferable skills from working within Adult Intellectual Disability and/or ASD services.

The role would entail a clinical caseload, as well as opportunity to contribute to ASD assessment clinics. Whilst the role is based within the Neurodevelopmental pathway there is also the possibility to join another pathway (Emotional & Behavioural - mood/anxiety difficulties, Emotional & Behavioural - conduct difficulties, Bipolar & Psychosis, Front Door) to align with the successful candidate's interests. In addition there would be the opportunity to join with Family Therapy clinics or link in with other Child Psychotherapists within the service.

Quality Improvement is a cornerstone of ELFT and there would be opportunity to join in with wider service development initiatives.

People Participation is an integral part of our co-production work with young people and parents, and there are various possibilities to engage with this work if this is of interest.
