This is an exciting opportunity to develop a new Complex Case clinical pathway within the Wirral CAMHS 0-18 team. The successful applicants will be working with some of the most challenging and complex presentations and social situations; supporting the network around young people not necessarily therapy ready. Helping to reduce risk, contain systemic distress and link young people into appropriate services and provision internally and externally.
Applicants should be able to offer the system and young people a timely response across the week between standard working hours of 9 to 5pm, although compressed hours will be considered while still meeting service need.

Main duties of the job
- To complete psychological assessments with young people
- To respond with immediacy to requests for mental health input/assessment
- Develop robust and clear formulations of clinical need
- To arrange and attend multi-agency meetings to both support and constructively challenge when appropriate
- To develop clear care plans based on need
- To signpost to internal and external pathways/support agencies
- To support other professionals in their work within young people both internally and externally
- To complete reviews with young people waiting for an intervention where their presentation is deteriorating

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
- A relevant Social Work, Nursing or Allied Health Professional (e.g. Occupational Therapy) degree level qualification or equivalent experience
- Current registration with a nationally recognised professional body relevant to the professional qualification held e.g. GSCC for Social workers, HPC for Occupational Therapists etc.
- Minimum 5 years post registration experience.
- Masters level qualification or equivalent short courses and/or experience.
- Teaching qualification or significant experience.
- Excellent communication skills: - working with staff - working with patients and carers - working with general practice - presentations - written reports - understanding and ability to interpret, research and facilitate staff to implement evidence-based practice
- Proven ability to challenge current practices and freedom to make change in light of evidence-based recommendations
- Knowledge, understanding and the ability to interpret and implement local and national policy direction relevant to practice
- Proven experience of clinical audit, skill and knowledge required to facilitate staff to undertake clinical audit
- Knowledge and experience of moving staff through the change management process
