To provide high quality evidence-based, recovery focused nursing care, advice and support for service users with mental and physical health needs, who also present with actual or potential risk to self and others, and their carers within a Multi-Disciplinary setting.

Main duties of the job

Under the supervision of the Team Leaders and Ward Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation and evaluation of nursing care, and will have a working knowledge of local and national policies and legislation that govern current service provision. The post holder will be responsible for identifying and contributing to the training needs of others and in the promotion of issues of equality, diversity and rights in accordance with good practice legislation. The post holder will ensure effective communication pathways exist, and that they act within the sphere or responsibility, managing themselves, the team and the clinical area in the absence of the person in charge.
