Cilantro Suite is a 10 bedded, mixed gender inpatient unit for people with eating disorders aged 18 and above.

Experience of working in Eating Disorders is desirable; however, consideration will be given to Registered Mental Health Nurses who have a genuine interest in working within this area.
Please note: Due to the nature of duties within this role, only Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN's) can be considered for the position.
The successful candidates will be highly motivated, have a genuine interest in the development of services and possess excellent communication skills.
You will support the Ward Manager and fellow professionals in leading the provision of evidence-based quality care for our service users and offer advice and support to their family and carers.
Care is provided over a 24-hour period and all team members work rotational shift patterns.

Main duties of the job
Registered Mental Health Nurse required due to use of and required understanding of Mental Health Act
Responsible for the promotion of carer and service user involvement within the service and for its provision.
Responsible for establishing therapeutic relationships with service users, and the implementation of evidence based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Councils professional code of conduct.
To work within the NICE Guidelines specific to the service user group. To participate in enteral feeding when directed by a RMO.
Participate in therapeutic meal planning, preparation and meal time role modelling of healthy eating.
Participate in, facilitate and co-facilitate the group programme provided for the service users.
Every member of staff has a responsibility to be aware of and follow at all times, the relevant national and local policy in relation to the safeguarding of children, the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and the prevention of infection control.
