We're looking for an individual with the passion and drive for developing evidence-based practice to lead on the CBT provision across the Rise Specialist Mental Health Services for Children and Young People in Coventry and Warwickshire. In this hybrid role, you'll take a blended approach to delivering interventions both digitally and in-person, meeting our children and young people where is best for them.

Main duties of the job

You'll work alongside service leads and operational leads as a senior CBT practitioner, adding strength and value to the much-needed CBT provision of part of the RISE umbrella of services. This will include clinically informing and implementing the Children and Young People's CBT provision across the geography of the county including supporting increased access to evidence based mental health care for children and young people.

To demonstrate an expert level of clinical reasoning and practical skills enabling independent (autonomous) working within a clinic, bedded facility or community based environment

To undertake the comprehensive assessment of CYP and families referred into the service, determining clinical risk and managing the risks with appropriate multidisciplinary team intervention and specific clinical requirements

To apply expert skills and knowledge to interpret and analyse complex clinical and non-clinical data to form accurate diagnosis and prognosis in a variety of conditions in order to recommend a course of interventionTo devise and implement individualised management and treatment plans, using an expert level of clinical reasoning skills and current evidence based practice to deliver clinical interventions

Will be responsible for own and others continuing professional development and ensure requirements of the appropriate professional clinical guidelines and standards are complied with in maintaining professional registration requirements

Will identify, participate in the development and sustainability of best practice within Children and Young Peoples Specialist Mental Health Services.

To champion the usage of Routine Outcome Measures by the Specialist Mental Health clinical team and to lead on increase Routine Outcome reporting.

Within sphere and level of practice to challenge professional boundaries, identifying areas for skill / knowledge and apply these to practice to provide continuity and high quality patient centred care.

At a senior level to provide a supervision structure that supports both clinical delivery and workforce growth.

Working with the professional leads, lead the development of all the team roles and structure the teams within the area of responsibility to promote joined integrated working for children, young people and their families.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential

• Doctoral degree in: Systemic Family Psychotherapy or Psychotherapy or Psychology (or equivalent for those who trained before 1996) as accredited by the BPS OR
• Masters level qualification or recognised equivalent qualification:
• Experience as well as evidence of CPD, specialist training and working towards a clinical speciality. Evidence of recent professional development, Qualified Systemic Family Therapist Masters level UKCP registered. or Qualified Psychotherapist registered with professional body i.e. ACP approved Child Psychotherapist or Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC) or Occupational Therapy degree level qualification and registered with HCPC or Registered Social Worker with relevant social work qualification. or Other Health professional with relevant post graduate qualification and relevant post graduate qualification in CAMHS related subject
• Registration with HCPC where required
• Continuous Professional Development: Professional qualification in CBT i.e. diploma or equivalent, Professional qualification in CBT i.e. diploma or equivalent,

Experience Essential

• Post qualifying experience in CAMHS
• Experience of delivering CBT interventions for anxiety and/or mood disorders
• Management experience in children's health care.
• Proven ability to work in partnership with a range of organisations
• Experience of staff management.
• Experience of planning and developing services that have delivered high quality outcomes for children and young people
• Experience of project and/or service management
• Experience of budget management
• Experience of planning and implementing service improvements

Knowledge and skills Essential

• Working knowledge of arrangements for children's health services and early help including knowledge of legislation, SEND, statutory guidance, government policy, practice guidance and best practice.
• Knowledge of and ability to develop performance management, continuous improvement and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to devise and implement local policies and procedures relating to children and families
• Ability to communicate effectively and influence others including presentation, oral, written and IT skills.
• Advanced IT skills in all MS Office applications and Trust systems
• Ability to self-manage workload and work using own initiative
