The post holder will provide effective and efficient management of delegated resourceswithin a defined clinical area while ensuring care delivery meets and addresses the issues ofspirituality, equality diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.Act as a role model for junior staff, and in a manner, which positively reflects the values ofthe organisation and in a way which will ensure that effective communication pathways existwith internal and external stakeholders aimed at developing current models of care.They will lead in the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care for a defined clinical area, and ensure that all staff within the post holder's sphere of responsibility have a working knowledge of local, national policies and legislation which govern current service provision.With the support of the Matron/Senior Nurse the post holder will hold 24-hour responsibility for a staff team, and the management and provision of quality evidence based nursing advice support and care for service users with health and social care needs, and their carers within a defined clinical area.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for ensuring that they contribute and work towards the service/organisational aims and objectives.The post holder as an individual is required to understand their responsibility for respecting and promoting issues of spirituality, equality diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.Responsible for ensuring all staff within their sphere of responsibility read, understand and complying with all relevant trust and statutory policies and procedures.
