An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Liaison and Diversion Practitioner within our Liaison and Diversion Team based between our custody suites in Blacon and Middlewich.
The successful applicant will be expected to work across Urgent Care Mental Health First Response Services, which will include Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, Liaison Services, Street Triage Services, Liaison and Diversion Services and the Crisis Line.
Main duties of the job
The Liaison and Diversion Practitioner will function at a high competency level. They will have responsibility for actively participating as a key member of the multi-disciplinary.
The post holder will develop, enhance and improve their knowledge of the interface between criminal justice and health and social care agencies, developing skills and competencies at all opportunities. They will demonstrate an attitude which respects and promotes the rights of service users' and their carer's, seeking opportunity to engage and develop inclusion.
The post holder will embrace the core values of the organisation and adopt the Principles of the local and national Liaison and Diversion mandate.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
- Professional qualification registered on the appropriate part of the NMC/HCPC register with current NMC/HCPC registration.
- Post registration training in relevant field
- Leadership/Management training.
- Awareness of children/vulnerable adults guidelines. Knowledge or willingness to develop awareness of wider mental vulnerability as defined by PACE.
- Understanding of the interface between health, social care and criminal justice services and a commitment to overcoming potential barriers.
- Experienced mental health, CAMHS or learning disability practitioner with a good working knowledge of how health and social care services are delivered in a community setting.
- Experience of Multi Disciplinary working.
- Evidence of positive contribution to change management
- Demonstrate experience of problem solving approaches.
- Experience or knowledge/understanding of the Criminal Justice system and settings
- Experience of working with children/young adults.
