This is an exciting opportunity for two experienced CAMHS Clinicians to join the Tavistock and Portman (T&P) Clinical Programme Team in a clinical and strategic leadership role. The T&P Surrey Mindworks Clinical Programme Team as part of an Alliance Partnership is leading on the implementation and embedding of the THRIVE Framework for System Change (Wolpert et al., 2019) across the newly created Surrey Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health (EWMH) Service.

This is a role that will involve consultation, supervision and training, as well as clinical work in SABP clinical teams, alongside other services within the Alliance Partnership.

These two posts will be based for the majority of the time within the North West of the county of Surrey, one in the Community CYPS and one based in the School Based Needs Service.

We are looking for clinicians with experience of working in a THRIVE Framework aligned service who are creative, highly motivated, show initiative and are passionate about capacity building and service development.

NB: With regards to Higher Cost Area Supplement (HCAS), post holders will be based in Surrey and will therefore receive Fringe weighting

Main duties of the job

The post holder will hold a strategic and clinical leadership role which will be pivotal to the implementation and embedding of the THRIVE Framework for system change. As part of a team of highly motivated, well qualified and senior group of CAMHS Clinicians (approximately 9WTE), they will be one of four THRIVE Leads driving the culture and operational changerequired to support the implementation and embedding of the THRIVE Framework in Mindworks Surrey. They will be partly based in a SABP clinical service and have a clinical caseload, providing CAMHS input to children, young people and their families and carers, who are referred to the service.

Alongside other senior clinicians in the team, the post holder will support the TPFT team to develop and embed practice of the THRIVE Framework for system change (Wolpert et al.,2019). The post holder will have strategic and clinical lead roles in areas as required, e.g. staff engagement and training programmes; research and audit; service evaluation; contributing to development of skills and knowledge of the team in areas such as NICE guidelines, contributing to improve the team's overall performance and functioning; etc.

The post holder will be expected to spend most of their time in Surrey with links and connection to the TPFT base. There will be two such posts, both based for the majority of the time within the North West of the county of Surrey, one in the Community CYPS and one based in theSchool Based Needs Service.

Skills Essential

• Personal duty of care in relation to equipment used in clinical practice
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to gain and sustain credibility with clinicians/managers
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office), basic keyboard skills for writing reports, clinical case notes
• Willingness to contribute to development of service through financial initiatives and income generation
• Ability to manage own clinical caseload and provide oversight of others within team
• Social Workers Senior practitioner experience of providing leadership, expertise and supervision to other professionals. Extensive knowledge of relevant safeguarding practice, legislation and research
• Mental Health Nurses: Proven additional training in and experience of giving a variety of therapeutic treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
• Clinical Psychologists: Proven significant experience of conducting psychometric tests, interviews and observations when assessing clients
• Skills for assessing and communicating highly complex client conditions and applying appropriate clinical treatments

Essential Essential

• Masters level qualification as a minimum or equivalent in clinical area of practice - Social work, Nursing, Child Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology , Educational Psychology, Systemic Psychotherapy, Psychiatry
• Core training as a Psychiatrist, Social worker, nurse, psychologist or equivalent
• Further specialist training and knowledge acquired to postgraduate doctoral degree level or equivalent level of knowledge
• Registration with appropriate professional body - ACP, HCPC, GMC, NMC
• Postgraduate clinical or management qualification e.g. CYP, IAPT, Masters in Systemic Practice or equivalent
• Significant experience of working with client population. Strong track record of managing complexity and risk whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery. Knowledge and experience of working in THRIVE
