Thank you for viewing this exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Counsellor to join our team in a unique and varied role. You will be based mainly in Pontypridd Cottage Hospital (South Wales) but will also be willing to travel to provide services across other sites. We offer a mixture of virtual as well as face-to-face work, so some home working can be considered.

We are a friendly, supportive, inclusive and hardworking team looking to attract people from all backgrounds. We draw on evidence and best practice from around the world but also value innovation and focus on continuous learning and improvement. We offer a good programme of support and supervision and the opportunity for professional development.

If you haven't considered working for the NHS before then please email Clare to arrange a call and she can discuss the role in more detail and the opportunities available to you.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The role involves delivering specialist brief structured counselling and other psychological interventions to Health Board staff with mild to moderate mental health and/or wellbeing problems.

You would be responsible and accountable for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of your clinical work within the counselling setting either on an individual or group basis.
