Specialist Grade Psychiatrist - General Adult Psychiatry, Fylde Coast (10PA)

This post is eligible for a 5% payment of basic salary payable over 2 years
We are seeking to recruit a substantive Senior Specialist Psychiatrist (Specialist Grade) to work with the Fylde Coast Home Treatment Team (HTT), based at the Gateway Centre located within Blackpool FC Stadium. This post is full time (10 PA).
It is expected that the postholder will contribute to the On Call rota, for which additional remuneration will be paid.
Main duties of the job
This is a new post that has been designed in line with the new guidelines introduced in April 2021. The Fylde Coast Home Treatment Team provides a 24/7 service for people in the Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre area with the main emphasis on preventing hospital admission where appropriate, preventing unnecessary 136 detentions and attendances at A&E departments. Working holistically to support service users within their own homes and remaining in the community as per evidence based practice. The post carries no responsibility for inpatients
Applicants should hold full GMC registration and have a minimum of 6 years' experience in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades.
It is a requirement that applicants are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment
