Main duties of the job

By working with our partners in Community Mental Health services and Primary Care Networks, we aim to deliver truly person-centred care to those experiencing co-occurring conditions

Now is your chance to be part of this brand-new service in Hampshire. You will add to your skillset in the process, and work with a wide range of professionals in a variety of settings to deliver effective and long-lasting solutions to patients

Various locations available across Hampshire including Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Eastleigh, New Forest, Winchester, Andover and Basingstoke.

Inclusion, created in 2002 is part of the Specialist Services Care Group of Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT). Job description Job responsibilities

You will be working with Inclusion Recovery Hampshire in partnership with Adult Mental Health services and Primary care.

You will be working with the service users and multi-agency team members to support the delivery of Recovery focussed outcomes by promoting and creating opportunities in visible recovery, harm reduction and brief interventions.

This role will require previous experience of working with service users who are experiencing issues with mental health and/or substance misuse in a community setting

Person Specification QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING Essential
  • Relevant University Degree NVQ 3 Health & Social Care (or commitment to work towards) And/Or Relevant experience in comparable setting.
Desirable
  • Relevant training / Qualification in associated field oCBT oMotivational Interviewing oBrief solution focussed therapy oMapping techniques oAuricular acupuncture trained
EXPERIENCE Essential
  • Experience of integrated working practices
  • 12 months minimum of working with substance user's
Desirable
  • Experience of criminal justice field / prison setting
  • Experience of working with offenders
  • Experience of group facilitation
  • Experience of working with dual diagnosis/mental health
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES Essential
  • A thorough knowledge of substances and their effects
  • A knowledge of blood borne viruses and sexual health
  • An understanding of harm reduction approaches in relation to substance misuse
  • Ability to work with drug/alcohol users in a prison environment
  • Ability to conduct assessments and formulate recovery plans
  • Ability and commitment to facilitate psycho-social group work programmes
  • Ability to manage a DART service user caseload
  • Ability to keep records and statistical data
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and develop links with agencies internal and external to prison
  • Understanding of equal opportunities
