Do you want to be part of developing a new integrative service for people living with long-term health conditions? Then come and join the team Talking Health Northants, the new branch of our IAPT service. You will be working alongside like-minded colleagues and creating links with physical health staff and local communities.

We are looking for psychologists, CBT therapists and PWP's to join us. There will be opportunities to work creatively and to network and collaborate across Northamptonshire's physical health clinics and community services. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are committed to their own development and to building an holistic service for people living with long-term conditions. You will be offered support, supervision, and training to develop. We are aiming to create a diverse that represents the diversity of the community and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements.

Main duties of the job

  • You will be a qualified CBT therapist accredited, or eligible for accreditation to BABCP
  • Experience of working with people managing long term health conditions is desirable
  • You will provide assessments, treatment and manage a caseload of people presenting with comorbid physical and mental health problems,
  • Manage referrals and signpost to other services as appropriate
  • Contribute to the development of the Long Term conditions service
  • Work collaboratively with secondary and primary physical health teams
  • Participate in CPD, supervision and appraisals

    • Clinical or Counselling Psychology Doctorate
    Desirable
    • Accrediatation with BABCP
    • Professional registration i.e; Nurse, Social Worker, OT, Psychologist
    • Completion of IAPT supervisors course
    Experience Essential
    • Experience of having worked in a mental health service
    • Supervision experience
    Desirable
    • 2 yrs post grad experience
    • Experience of working in an IAPT service
