Thanet Community Mental Health Team is looking to recruit Mental Health Nurses, to expand their multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder will be able to professionally work within their identified disciplines job description supporting patients within the local community, such as one to one and group work; along with urgent duty support for high-risk patients ensuring risk and safety plans are in place.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 6 clinician the role will be varied due to daily demands registered discipline and interventions on offer. The role includes working within the Duty team, completing initial assessments, Clozapine or Depot clinics for Nurses.

Delivering Stepps groups CBT in psychosis groups

All registered clinicians need to have a sound knowledge of secondary mental health care and risk management and social factors, care planning and excellent time management.

As Band 6 registered nurse, we would like the successful applicant to lead in the operation of the Clozapine and Depot clinics.

The professional must be able to work competently in a challenging environment and be able to react tochanging care demands whilst demonstrating the highest levels of care and empathy towards patients. This is across all aspects of the role in a flexible manner demonstrating the trust values.

Person Specification Registered RMN OT or Social Worker Essential
  • Two year experience in mental health care as a qualified clinician

  • Previous experience of working in a CMHT

  • Specialist training in CBT/Personality Disorders

  • Knowledge of care pathways in CMHT
