About the role and our team

We are searching for committed and enthusiastic Speciality Doctor to join our Mental Health Service on the Isle of Man within the following areas:

General Adult Acute Inpatient Psychiatry

The Isle of Man Mental Health Service (MHS) is a care group within Manx Care and provides a comprehensive range of local mental health services to the Island's community.

In collaboration with the supervising Consultant Psychiatrist and a multi-disciplinary inpatient team, you will provide an effective clinical service with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and the proper functioning of the acute inpatient setting.

You will take a lead in the identification of cases for psychiatric assessment and intervention, and contribute to the subsequent formulation of care plans for those in need of specialist intervention.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate highly evolved clinical, management and leadership skills and has experience and expertise in Psychiatry. If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, this role could be for you!

This role provides opportunities to utilise your skills for clinical audit, governance and research within the Service's area.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
