An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 RMN or RGN who has a particular interest in mental health nursing at Charlton Lane Hospital. Charlton Lane Hospital provides inpatient assessment and care for mental health service users requiring hospital admission for treatment across 3 in-patient wards: Mulberry ward, Chestnut and Willow Ward.
Chestnut Ward is an 14 bedded acute ward that serves the Gloucestershire locality for older age adults experiencing mental health problems, such as Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar Disorder and Psychosis. We also accept and support those with a Dementia diagnosis that may be in the early stages. The aim of the ward is to support the patient when unwell and to promote health, so as to enable recovery & successful discharge.
As a band 5 working in our team you will be given the opportunity to work alongside a wide Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure the efficient running of the ward for our service users and their carers.
If you hold a passion for older persons care we would welcome you to become part of our family value-based team.
The posts are funded at 37.5 hours per week (full time) and could involve rotational shift system. 'Flexible' working arrangements will be considered. Any request will be set against genuine operational requirements and limitations and it is not obligatory for a manager to accede to the request.
