Following the NCL Community services review Enfield Community Therapies has received significant investment to develop Community and Neurology rehabilitation services . This post has been newly created to build on existing rehabilitation provision to include Community based Occupational rehabilitation.
The post holder will have the opportunity to work alongside Physiotherapy and Psychology colleagues to enable an MDT approach to community rehab . There is support from rehab assistants within the team. The opportunity to rotate between community rehab and Neuro rehabilitation will be in place so will allow you to develop clinical skills with a wide range of pathologies .
Main duties of the job
We invite you to apply if you are looking for a chance to develop as a B5 within the community rehab setting. There is a B8a clinical lead OT in post as well as B7 and B6 OTs to support you . We would welcome you to attend for an informal visit. We are able to sponsor those who would require working visa applications and would, whilst the posts are full time, welcome and consider applications for differing work patterns.
As part of the Community rehab and Neurological rehab Service providing care to a multi cultural and diverse population, to deliver a high standard Occupational Therapy service in the Community. To work alongside more senior staff or to have access to senior support at all times during normal working hours. Potential to rotate between Community general rehabilitation and stroke / neuro rehab with a possibility of further growth in options of rotations across other specialities.
To perform Occupational assessment of patients with diverse presentations of physical and psychological conditions, to provide a clinical diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.

Person Specification EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Essential
- Recognised Diploma/Degree in OT
- HCPC Registered.
- Evidence of ongoing relevant CPD in portfolio
- Broad under graduate experience in core clinical areas
- Experience of working as part of a team
- A good working knowledge of the NHS system of care. (Trained or worked in the NHS)
- Work in a Community setting
- Fluent in written and spoken English including the ability to write straightforward
- Good Clinical Reasoning / problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage own work load in a busy environment with supervision
- Car owner/ driver with full valid UK driving licence and access to a car for use during working hours.
