Salary £88,364.00 to £119,113.00 per annum plus £20,000 Recruitment and Retention Premium (T&Cs apply)
CPFT are inviting enthusiastic and dedicated Old Age Psychiatrists to apply for a number of posts in our community based services to provide excellent care to the population of Cambridgeshire.
Five posts are available across Peterborough, Ely and Fenland , including a post in the Peterborough based Crisis Team for older people.
The Community facing services in CPFT for older people are managed within the Older People and Adult Community Directorate, OPAC. Our integrated model of care brings together staff delivering physical healthcare and mental healthcare for the elderly, and during the current Covid epidemic it has proven its benefits.
A key focus for the delivery of community care are integrated, multidisciplinary, multi-agency neighbourhood teams (NTs).

Main duties of the job
Clinical:
To lead the multidisciplinary team in providing excellent psychiatric care
To provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
To lead weekly MDT meetings and ensure prompt reviews of acutely unwell patients
To work closely with the CRHTT OP, community teams and liaison services as patients move between these teams
Cambridgeshire offers a variety of recreational pursuits and stunning countryside, and a wide range of cultural activities, and is well connected via excellent road and rail links.
The Trust is actively involved in clinical research and would encourage candidates to participate in research activities.

- Provision of reciprocal cover in agreement for colleagues within Peterborough
- Engagement in teaching and training
- Maintenance of professional registrations
Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential
- Entry on the GMC Register
- MRCPsych (or equivalent)
- S12/ AC approved
- CCT in relavent specialty
- MD or PhD
- Experience of working in a community facing team
- Experience of research and service development
- Clinical training and experience in delivery of psychotherapy modalities
- First-hand experience of developing services in a constantly changing environment and to budgetary restraints would be an advantage
- Candidates need to be effective teachers and trainers and be able to guide their own continuing education and training
