FACTT is a community forensic support service which was originally commissioned in 2018 as part of the Transforming Care Agenda. They will be used to managing their own caseload effectively and supervising qualified or unqualified staff as well as delivering and receiving clinical supervision.

Theywill have had previous involvement in service evaluation and audit.

Main duties of the job

  • Forensic in-reach support to inpatient services to support safe and timely discharges
  • Assessment and management of forensic risk in the community to ensure public safety and safety of the individual
  • Consultancy and support
  • Training and advice to other agencies
  • Treatment: Delivery of offence specific therapeutic interventions

The post holder will work collaboratively and effectively with others to deliver the agreed responsibilities of the community forensic service (FACTT).

He/she will provide specialist risk assessments and deliver psychological interventions. He/she will also provide consultation and training to staff from a range of agencies (e.g., health, social care, third sector, probation) around forensic risk/issues.

He/she will help to manage referrals and contribute to future developments of the FACTT service.

Successful applicants will receive support to further develop their skills and knowledge, through good quality supervision and training opportunities.
