Low Secure Unit staff nurse role to work at either of our low secure sites, either at Rathbone Hospital in Liverpool or our Hollins Park site Warrington.

From the 1stNovember 2021 a Recruitment & Retention premia has been introduced to attract and retain qualified nurses within the Secure & Specialist Learning Disability Division and further support our Grow Our Own Strategy.

For our registered Mental Health and Learning Disability nurses across our low secure services, this will be a premia of £1200

We are looking for qualified mental health nurses who can deliver care, compassion and empathy to our patients, improving the quality of care services within a secure forensic environment.

The division is responsible for specialised secure mental health services in low secure settings for service users with a primary classification of mental illness and personality disorders. Working within our low secure services as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of high standards of care and treatment to a complex group of service users. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a specialist forensic environment.

Main duties of the job

Our Low Secure Units provides mental health rehabilitation for men with mental health problems. The services monitor, manage, & reduce risk, whilst balancing therapy & security with the aim of helping prepare service users to lead a more independent life in the community.

You will receive a comprehensive induction in to the division with a mixture of clinical skills and practical teaching sessions.

If there are staff internal to the division interested in working at our low secure hospitals, they are advised to contact their line manager to explore this via the process of divisional mobilisation and service needs.
