An exciting opportunity has come available at the Agnes Unit (learning disabilities inpatient services) for staff nurses. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team.
The Agnes Unit is a 12 bedded, assessments and treatment inpatient unit for people with learning disabilities aged 18 and over who have mental health problems, pervasive developmental disorders and challenging behaviour.
We are looking for registered nurses (RNLD / RMN) with excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and motivation to provide support to the team and leadership within the Agnes Unit.
WE ARE CURRENTLY PAYING INCENTIVES TO OUR NEW EMPLOYEE ON THIS UNIT SPREAD OVER A 3 YEAR PERIOD (subject to tax and NI and non-pensionable)
After 6 months £500
Followed by further £500 after 18 months service
Upon completion of 3 years on the Unit a final payment of £1,000 will be paid
In addition to the above we will refund your NMC Registration on a monthly pro rata basis (additional terms apply)
We welcome applications from pre-registration nurses and have an excellent preceptorship package / arrangements to support you

Main duties of the job
The post holders will be band 5 nurses who can demonstrate that they have a range of transferable skills that will benefit the delivery of high standards of care and enrich the MDT.
The role involves supporting the nursing team to deliver packages of care to a diverse group of people with complex needs. You will need to be able to display a positive attitude and have the ability to challenge positively where necessary.
The successful candidate will also need to be flexible and adaptable in order to work effectively in a challenging environment and contribute to our Agnes Unit Development Programme.
The role will involve working closely with various members of the MDT and the team manager to ensure that care is of the highest standard, and performance standards and best practice are achieved.
