Occupational Therapist / Care coordinator - Band 5
South Warwickshire Recovery Team
Full time, permanent post
We have a vacancy for a motivated and creative Occupational Therapist to join our team. The team work with service users with psychosis, Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder across the South Warwickshire area, and are based in Leamington Spa. This is an exciting opportunity to bring creativity to a dynamic and forward thinking team. There is scope to do individual and group therapies for our large patient group.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team including other Occupational Therapists to deliver focussed interventions in the community. Our Occupational Therapists work alongside Nurses, Social Workers, Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Support Workers as well as our admin team. An Occupational Therapy priority pathway exists within the team to identify individuals with Occupational needs.
You will carry a caseload, and your workload will be split between OT specific assessment time and some Care Co-ordination under the Care Programme Approach for individuals who present with moderate to severe occupational performance issues.
There will be an expectation to carry out some generic roles in the team such as duty work.

- HCPC registration
- Relevant clinical knowledge & applied skills
- ICT skills, & organisational skills
- Good written communication skills
- Experience gained on clinical placement during undergraduate training. (Notably in Community/ Rehabilitation / Intermediate Care / Care of the elderly)
- car driver is essential and a valid UK driving licence as well as insurance for business use.
