An exciting opportunity has become available for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner within Solar our Emotional Wellbeing and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
The service offers support and treatment to children and young people aged 0-19.
Role requires full ANP qualifications.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering care to children and young people. Other members of the team include Consultant Psychiatrists, Hub Manager, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Leads, Assistant Psychologist, Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Art Therapist and Support Workers. The ability to work flexibly in multidisciplinary teams and in a range of settings is therefore essential.
The post holder will, in conjunction with the management team, provide strong clinical leadership and expertise to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring that high standards are maintained.
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will hold a caseload and will manage regular follow up and assessment clinics. They will work closely with the medical team to ensure effective patient flow and discharge management is maintained.
Applicants must be highly motivated, have a genuine interest in child and adolescent mental health and have experience in mental health care.

Person Specification Nurse Qualification Essential
- Qualified Nurse, Degree or diploma qualified.
- First Degree level, Independent prescriber
- History of holding responsibility and accountability for nursing decisions and empowering nurses to make difficult clinical decisions
- Experience of leading on audit and/or research activity related to clinical practice
- Experience of mental health
- Significant experience of community mental health
