We have several opportunities for forward thinking, highly motivated Registered Mental Health nurses to join us in the three Localities of Cardiff and Vale working as Community Mental Health Nurses.

The job will build on your experience as a developing or experienced Band 5 staff nurse to afford an excellent platform for further career development. Similarly, the post will also afford experienced Band 6 nurses the opportunity to broaden their career portfolio and the scope to work with the autonomy and accountability you will have developed.

There will be opportunities for further training and regular supervision will be provided. We are keen to develop nurses with advanced skills (or desire to learn). Your development needs will be supported. You will deliver the highest quality holistic health care, incorporating the mental and physical health needs of our patients. You will ensure measurable improvements in wellbeing.

You will work as part of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary professional team within a developing framework of tertiary specialist services. You will be expected to take ownership of your patients needs, coordinating services and care needs as required throughout the care pathway.

Main duties of the job

To deliver evidence based holistic care to clients within the context of a multidisciplinary, multi-agency Community Mental Health Service.

To take responsibility for a clinical caseload providing comprehensive assessment, care and treatment to clients referred to the Community Mental Health Team in accordance with Parts 2 and 3 of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010.

Foster robust working relationships with all partners and key stakeholders, in particular Local Authority, Primary Care and the Third sector.

Contribute to the continuing improvement and development of community mental health services.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
