We are looking for Mental Health Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses to work in our inpatient units across Lancashire.

We are looking for qualified staff at a number of locations across Lancashire. We are very keen to hear from qualified Registered Mental Health Nurses and Registered Learning Disability Nurses, also Nurses who are keen to return to practice and Students who are due to qualify in 2022 and 2023 to work in our inpatient areas.

Main duties of the job

We band 5 RMN and LD opportunities at all of our Inpatient Units.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire and South Cumbria area.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification.(RNMH & RNLD)
  • On-going registration with the NMC
Knowledge Essential
  • Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments.
  • Can demonstrate a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that this can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health
Experience Essential
  • Post Graduate experience
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure.
  • Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs.
