An opportunity has arisen to work as a learning disability nurse within theTameside CAMHS based within Springleigh Clinic.
The successful candidate will work within the neurodevelopmental team working with young people with a diagnosis of ASC/ADHD/LD as well as assessing young people for such possible diagnosis
This is an exciting role to join an already well established team which consists of RMN/LD nurses as well as a senior practitioner core qualification is a SALT
Main duties of the job
Delivery evidence based interventions for young people within the ND pathway as well as completing assessments into possible neurodevelopmental disorders as well as comorbidities such as LD
We would hope to provide further training to the successful candidate such as psychological therapies training, ADOS training, Riding the Rapids, PBS to mention but a few.

Person Specification Education / Qualifications Essential
- Registered Nurses Learning Disabilities (RNLD)
- Post registration training / willingness to undertake training plus experience to postgraduate diploma level.
- PBS Qualification
- Clinical Supervision / Mentorship qualification.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in supporting individuals who have a learning disability
- Experienced in delivering advice and support to a wide range of people.
- Experienced in partnership working.
- Experienced in managing risk
- Experienced in delivering training.
- Previous community nursing experience desirable
- Experience in supporting individuals with complex health needs
- Established knowledge of the health inequalities agenda for people with learning disabilities
- Understanding of Person Centred Planning.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Knowledge of Child Safeguarding and Safeguarding Adult legislation
- Knowledge of current strategic drivers for community learning disability teams
- Knowledge of the evidence based around people who present with offending behaviour.
- Completed in depth training in Person Centered Planning.
- Ability to complete complex assessments.
- Highly developed communication skills to support a range of activities
- Ability to collaborate in the completion of formulations
- Ability to develop multielement Interventions / support packages.
- Ability to incorporate key principles of 'Valuing People' into direct client care
- Ability to proactively manage competing demands
