An exciting opportunity is now available to work as a Modern Matron at LSCFT's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit. The Cove will provide an Inpatient service for young people aged 13-18 to be treated and cared for on a single site of excellence.

The post holder will be responsible for the Modern Matron position in the Cove and will report to the specialist network Director of Nursing in a co-production model with the Consultant Psychiatrists, Associate director of Operations and Service Manager .

The successful candidate will be based at The Cove in Heysham. They will implement and oversee the Nursing agenda as well as being an active member of the multi-disciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team to provide the best possible care for young people and their families.

Person Specification Education Essential
  • RMN or other professional qualification
  • Evidence of CPD and study at higher level
  • Degree or demonstrable evidence of study at higher level

  • Sound understanding of contemporary Mental Health agenda and clinical skills
Desirable
  • Experience of dealing with Directorate/Executive level managers
Experience Essential
  • Management role within a multi-disciplinary service at a senior level
  • Ability to analyse and resolve management problems
  • Previous Inpatient experience or significant leadership experience at Band 7
