Quality Team Lead Learning Disability & Autism Collaborative 1 year secondment/ fixed term band 8a



  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, passionate clinical practitioner to join the Learning Disability and Autism (LDA) Collaborative and Learning Disability Services. You will play a central role in the ground breaking developments of the LDA Collaborative, supporting strategic planning and leading change initiatives that will improve the lives of local people.
  • You will provide visible, accessible, operational management and clinical leadership to the LDA Senior Case Managers, and Discharge Coordinator on behalf of the Integrated Care Board as well as to the LD Forensic Team and the LDA Adult Dynamic Support Pathway Care Coordinator within Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. You will be accountable for the delivery of effective operational and clinical processes to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality service delivery is maintained across your portfolio of services.
  • You will hold a professional qualification, have specialist LDA knowledge and experience, and have significant leadership and management experience.


Main duties of the job

  • Reducing the number of people from LLR cared for in a hospital setting
  • Leading a multiagency team
  • Managing the delivery of services
  • Working collaboratively with multiagency colleagues
  • Providing visible, accessible, operational management and clinical leadership,
  • Ensuring robust local accountability for performance, quality, safety and finance,
  • Working alongside clinical teams to provide assurance about the quality and delivery of clinical practice,
  • Providing expert knowledge and highly specialised advice,
  • Establishing sound and effective relationships with service stakeholders and other service providers.


You will take the lead within the weekly discharge planning meetings and forward planning for future discharges.You will lead on behalf of the ICB the Provider Collaborative meetings (IMPACT & CAMHS); planning for MM judgement cases across the region and will chair/ attend CeTRs identifying solutions to potential barriers and escalating concerns within the ICB and LDA Collaborative as required. Responsibilities will also include reviewing reports prepared by the Senior Case Managers and presenting complex cases to the High risk and complex care panel.

You will attend relevant regional meetings on behalf of LPT, the ICB and the LDA Collaborative & provide reports and updates as required.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • Registered LD nurse/AHP
  • Hold a degree or equivalent.
  • Hold a leadership qualification.
  • Additional professional knowledge of Learning Disability and autism practice; management and clinical skills acquired through specialist training, short courses to masters level and / or equivalent experience.
Experience Essential
  • Experience of working in a professional leadership role of Band 7
  • Proven managerial skills and experience of change
  • Clinical leadership experience
  • Evidence of contribution to service development and delivery
Knowledge and Skills Essential
  • Evidence of a well-developed understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
  • Ability to provide and undertake clinical and management supervision
  • Analysis of complex data
