Main duties of the job
P2R is recruiting a full-time Band 5 recovery worker to work in the Bedfordshire addiction service, the role will be as part of the assessment team, this role is a dynamic and fast-paced role with many skills needed to successfully introduce people to the service by completing a thorough assessment of needs, identifying and actioning any risks as well as preparing SMART care plans and working with clients when they first enter treatment of substance misuse.

- put service users at the centre of everything they do, and consistently deliver a high-quality service that promotes and supports recovery in line with Trust vision and processes
- work to values that include self-determination, empowerment and choice for service users
- work in partnership with service users and empower them to draw on their individual strengths and assets, and set goals they would like to achieve in all aspects of their lives.

Person Specification Education, Training & Qualifications Essential
- oEnglish and Maths at minimum GCSE or higher.
- oInformation and Communication Technology literacy.
- oMinimum NVQ level 4.
- oFluent Polish speaker
- oProfessional Qualification e.g. Nursing, Social Work or Counselling.
- oSubstanceMisuse Training.
- oTraining in Motivational Interviewing or other psychosocial interventions.
- oExperience of working in Health or Social Care as a key worker.
- oExperience of working within a multi disciplinary team.
- oExperience of managing a full caseload.
- oExperienceofprovidingevidencebased interventions
- oExperience of Recovery Focused interventions.
- oExperience of using Information and Communication Technology to deliver clinical practice.
- oExperience of working with drug and alcohol users.
- oAbility to apply recovery values and principles in day to day work.
- oAbility to empower service users to draw from their strengths and assets, and identify solutions.
- oSkills in assessing needs and setting goals.
- oSkills in planning, implementing and evaluating care. oAbility to manage a caseload.
