Main duties of the job

This post is one example of the long-standing commitment of the Trust to developing and sustaining better provision and capacity for those individuals suffering from the most severe and enduring mental health problems and their families and carers using the service in challenging times.

The service supports people who have historically avoided contact with mental health services by using a flexible and creative approach to engagement in order to provide evidence based bio-psycho-social interventions with the aim of keeping people out of hospital within the community, promoting recovery and rehabilitation, optimising social functioning, managing risks and improving quality of life.

The post is 10 sessions, and will be split across 5 sessions with ECRS, 2.5 sessions with Shepherd House and 2.5 sessions SPA.

You will provide clinical leadership and line management to junior medical staff reporting directly to you. There is also the opportunity to develop posts and take on the educational and clinical supervision of GP or core mental health trainees and higher trainees, as agreed by the locality tutor.
