We are pleased to be advertising a new and exciting opportunity for two team leader posts as we look to expand the Reducing Restrictive Practice Team.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic candidates who are committed to reducing restrictive practice and who have the relevant skills to lead through example in promoting positive and safe patient care, demonstrating the knowledge and experience necessary to inspire and promote good practice, develop services, and enhance patient experience and quality.

A key focus of the role will be the ability to educate, inspire, and develop others in the principles of least restrictive practice as well as supporting clinical teams to implement RRP principles into everyday practice with an emphasis on primary preventative approaches.

Main duties of the job

With supervision from the Trust Lead for Reducing Restrictive Interventions, you will work with staff and patients, engaging clinical teams regarding reduction strategies, in order to promote and introduce new ways of working that support a more positive and proactive approach to care that helps reduce the need for restrictive interventions.

Within the role you will also be expected to work closely with the Positive and Safe Violence Reduction Team in addressing gaps in knowledge and promoting good practice in line with best practice guidance and national standards. You will also provide clinical leadership around the area of RRP, which will often involve the assessment and care planning for patients who have required the use of restrictive interventions.
