An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and flexible Physiotherapist to join the amputee/prosthetic team at the Specialist Rehabilitation and Mobility Centre based at the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle, North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will work closely with the MDT at SRMC along with both the Vascular and acute inpatient Physiotherapy Teams to provide high-quality care and service improvement for the amputee service whilst working under the direct supervision and support of a clinical specialist Amputee physiotherapist.
The centre is a Murrison and regional limb centre specialising in assessing and treating limb loss through pre op, in-patient and outpatient pathways. The clinical work will include managing a complex caseload undertaking assessment, diagnosis and treatment and providing appropriate advice to patients, carers and relatives regarding amputee/prosthetic rehabilitation. The successful candidate is expected to work on the wards in an acute setting, in the rehabilitation centre, satellite hospitals within our region and domiciliary settings.

- Supervising e.g. students, newly qualified staff or technical instructors. Having experience of providing in service training
- Good knowledge of evidence based clinical practice within prosthetic rehabilitation
- Portfolio of evidence of post-graduate learning
