An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our Mental Health Liaison Practitioner Service in the Adur and Worthing area. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide specialist assessment and short term interventions to patients to promote their recovery and you will have the opportunity to work closely with local practices, IAPT services, Recovery College and other providers in the local area.

You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible and able to work autonomously and we will support you by providing supervision and training including a comprehensive induction, access to complex case formulation and courses to support your continuous professional development.

Working as an MHLP includes:
- Working autonomously to a defined caseload of clients diagnosed with mild to moderate mental health problems. This will include offering specific interventions such as psycho-education, CBT informed sessions and short term recovery focused interventions
- You will complete initial assessments and work closely with our referrals coordinators, GP's and other agencies.
- Your interventions will be a pre-defined offer of 6-8 sessions.
- You are welcome to co-facilitate groups if you have an interest in this area.

- oRegistered Mental Health qualification or equivalent
- oUp to date Registration
- oPost Basic Courses / relevant Study Days
- oEvidence of CPD
- oThree years' post-qualifying experience of clinical work with people with a range of mental health problems
- oExperience of partnership working within and across various different statutory and non- statutory teams and agencies
- oExperience of successfully managing a caseload and prioritising clinical work.
- oExperience of providing a range of clinical interventions to people with a variety of mental health problems.
- o Experience of working consultatively with professionals
- oExperienced in conducting clinical assessments, including risk assessments
