An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and creative band 5 nurse, with either a mental health or learning disability nursing qualification, to work on a busy, award winning, small male PICU in the heart of West Lancashire.

We are a 4 bedded male PICU, with a compact and committed staff team who all strive towards providing our service users with an excellent inpatient experience. We do this in part through our commitment to reducing restrictive practices, the use of activity on the ward and by providing the staff team access to a wide range of training and development opportunities.

The team have recently won awards from within LSCFT, including enhancing the patient experience with a cycling project, a locality award for outstanding contributions to quality and patient safety, and winning the Trust wide award for outstanding contribution to service user and carer experience.

Main duties of the job

The positions available will be suitable for both experienced and newly qualified nurses from either a mental health or learning disability background. We ask that you are motivated, creative in your approach and eager to enhance the inpatient experience.
