Provide holistic care for Service users (SU) or Children/Young people (CYP) with a Learning Disability and/or complex health needs this may include those with Autism only

To support enhanced packages of care in a variety of settings to be skilled in a wide range of specific clinical/behavioural Interventions, e.g., enteral feeding, oxygen therapy, oral clearance/suction, Catheterisation, behaviour management and epilepsy management.

Main duties of the job

Understand, support and evidence compliance on all care quality commission outcomes,

Act as named Nurse for allocated SU/CYP. Developing good relationships with the family and the wider MDT.

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing and clinical care plans in collaboration with SU/YP, family and the wider MDT

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • R.N.L.D (R.N.M.H.) holds and continues to hold effective registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council
Experience Essential
  • Must have recent experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities
  • Experience in developing and creating innovative and complex care packages that are person centred
Other Essential
  • Must hold a full driving licence
