The role on offer is :Band 5 Specialist Practitioner. The successful candidate will join the multi-disciplinary team and will work specifically within the Specialist Addiction Service COMHAD team (Co-occurring Mental Health and Drugs & Alcohol).
The team consists of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Consultant Psychologist, Mental Health Nurses, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Social Workers, Specialist Health Visitor and Specialist Midwifes.

Main duties of the job
The job role will include providing specialist addiction treatment, including psychosocial and pharmacological interventions, harm reduction, & risk management to service users with co-existing mental health and/or pregnancy needs. The LYPFT team is trauma-informed and offers a formulation driven, psychological model.

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will hold a caseload as well as delivering psychosocial interventions to service users to support the wider service. Excellent training, supervision and support from an experienced team based in a clinical centre of excellence will be offered.
