We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Psychologist to work as part of the Neurorehabilitation Unit, which has recently relocated to a brand new, purpose-built facility at the University Hospital Llandough. This is a great time to join the service and help shape the new unit and how psychology/neuropsychology contributes to the neuro-rehabilitation of adults with complex acquired brain injuries.

Main duties of the job

This is an established post and forms part of a supportive team of clinical psychologists/neuropsychologists and wider MDT. The role includes neurorehabilitation, staff training, team formulation and psychological support to service users and their families. There is access to a wealth of supervision and support within our friendly neuropsychology department. The post holder will have the opportunity to develop specialist areas of practice and knowledge in neuropsychology. We have strong teaching and research links with Cardiff University and CUBRIC, and research interests are actively encouraged.

We are looking for an applicant with an interest in neuropsychology and with an interest in working with adults with complex neurological needs. This post would appeal to an enthusiastic and motivated practitioner, who enjoys working as a team member and holds patient care at the centre of their work.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
