A rare opportunity has arisen in the Bournemouth Older Persons CMHT for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and committed to working in a recovery focussed approach. The team works with a diverse group of services users who experience challenging mental health issues and alongside social care colleagues in providing a person focussed manner.

Main duties of the job

To be personally responsible and professionally accountable for a caseload of older adults in the community with severe mental illness who have multiple and complex needs.

Work alongside colleagues as part of a cohesive team in assessing people in community settings, delivering care plans, undertaking risk assessments and to provide high quality care and treatment in conjunction with other professionals through the Trust's agreed multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment/care programmes.

Person Specification Knowledge, skills and training Essential
  • RMN
  • Current NMC registration
Job specific experience Essential
  • Demonstrable post registration experience of working with older age mentally ill and/or people with Dementia.
  • Experience of ICPA and Risk Assessment and Management.
Managerial/Supervisory experiance Essential
  • Experiencing providing clinical and managerial supervision to junior staff.
Personal qualities/attributes Essential
  • Basic IT skills, normally obtained through practice or practical training
