Bexley MSK Services
This is a really exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a large multidisciplinary musculoskeletal team; providing rapid access for patients with musculoskeletal pathology, persistent pain conditions and for those with rehabilitation needs. Bexley MSK offers a whole system biopsychosocial approach for patients referred for musculoskeletal management and enables a streamlined service for expert management of those with complex needs.
Clinicians looking to progress their musculoskeletal career are invited to apply to this post working in the MSK service within the Bexley care directorate. We are looking for applicants with the right attitude to delivering high quality patient care, and the successful candidate will be supported with in-house training and clinical support from senior colleagues
Main duties of the job
The successful post-holder will work daily alongside a team of physiotherapists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, Orthopaedics surgeons, and specialist consultants in rheumatology and persistent pain. They will be required to assess and treat patients referred with musculoskeletal conditions, utilising rehabilitation plans. The service has access to clinical investigations including MRI, X-ray, Diagnostic Ultrasound, Blood Tests and Nerve conduction studies, and treatment options including shockwave treatment, acupuncture and steroid injections.

- Working in a busy MSK outpatients setting
- Working with primary, secondary and community care teams to provide a multidisciplinary approach to improvement of MSK pathology.
- Always aiming to achieve maximum independence for all service users suffering with MSK Pathology
Person Specification Education and Training Essential
- HCPC Registered
- Evidence of successful completion of relevant short courses pertaining to MSK
- Successful completion of management short courses
- Evidence of Management skills obtained through experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience working at highly specialist level within MSK
- Experience supervising / supporting more junior staff
- Ability to work as part of an MDT
- Ability to lead audit and research
- Highly developed negotiation and problem solving IV skills in complex situations
- Excellent organizational skills
