We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered mental Health Nurses or Physical Health Nurse to work on our acute mental health inpatient wards along side mental health colleagues.The acute service line serves the community of Kent with a population of approximately 1.6 million people, specialising in the assessment and treatment of adults of working age who are acutely ill. We have an exciting vacancy arisen on Jasmine Wards DGS older adult service line.The acute service line provides inpatient facilities in brand new state of the art environments, working alongside extensive home treatment teams and liaison psychiatry services. We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Registered General Nurses, to provide exceptional physical health care to our local community.
Main duties of the job
You will need to
- Have a working knowledge of older adults with functional and non-functional mental illness.
- Have a working knowledge of safeguarding adults.- Have a strong desire to support us to develop this service in a rapidly changing climate.- Have an interest in supporting the physical health of people with acute mental illness.- Be willing to work in a challenging/often demanding driven environment.- Be willing to engage in audit and evaluation.- Be part of a team wishing to always improve the user experience of mental health services.

Person Specification Training and Qualifications Essential
- RMN or RGN qualification
- Evidence of recent practice
- Mentorship preparation course or equlivalent
- Evidence of post qualification personal and practice development
- Pre-registration experience of mental health settings and or working with people with mental health conditions
- Experience of working within an acute mental health setting
- Some clinical experience of mental health problems
- Experience of managing and coordinating shifts on a day to day basis
